Milton Jordan
Somewhere between “A promising new voice”
and “Once highly regarded” his stories
appeared, and poems, in quarterly
journals of limited circulation,
a few larger dailies still publishing
weekend literary supplements.
Friends with classroom contracts encouraged
study of his New and Selected Poems
or critical review term projects
on the Collected Early Stories.
A few Visiting Writer in Residence
appointments led to some recognition
and modest sales of Fiction after Fifty,
but he’d envisioned more than four pages
in a minor regional anthology.

Milton Jordan lives with photographer Anne Elton Jordan in Georgetown, Texas. His most recent poetry collection, A Forest for the Trees, is out from Backroom Window Press. He co-edited the anthology Lone Star Poetry, poems from Texas Poetry Assignment for Kallisto Gaia Press.
